Who Are You
oh I was hoping you'd tell me
At least at some point everyone wonders who they really are. We start digging in our biased brains and ask other biased people to give us clues. But once we put all the answers together, we will get baffled by how wildly different they are, and how none of them seems to be quite true either. It’s unsettling.
So obviously, we stop wondering about this too much, accept that we are all perfect and just carry on with our other problems in life.

Podcast Interview
Last week I was a guest at The Good Ship Illustration Podcast and had a lovely chat with Katie Chappell. We spoke about my path to finding my creative voice, why being myself is what led to my dream clients, how being unsuccessful can be weirdly freeing, and how consistency and creative jealousy can be big flashing neon signs to help you figure out what you do want to do.
You can listen to our chat on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Castbox, or simply through the Good Ship’s website.
More about The Good Ship Illustration
I feel like I have been raving about The Good Ship to nearly all of my illustrator friends in the past three years. But just in case I have missed you, and you are an illustrator, make sure to look them up. They have helped my career immensely and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.
At the moment, the doors to their original course “Find your Creative Voice; Fly your Freak Flag” are open for a few days. If you are looking to dive deeper into your sketchbooks and find your unique voice, this is for you.1
